About Geri

aprilavatar5 The moment I put on my first leotard and tights for my ballet class when I was 10 years old, I knew I had a problem. Though I wasn’t chubby as a child I noticed that I had a thicker waist than the other girls in the class. This lead to dieting. Bad dieting made it worse. Flash forward some decades later, I was still trying out different kinds of dieting, still starving,  yet still couldn’t get rid of the excess weight. I was at my heaviest in college, heavier than when I was 9 months pregnant.

It wasn’t until I joined Weight Watchers December of 2007 that cracked the code for me. Suddenly I could enjoy food again without the guilt at the same time learned to say “not this time, I’ll save it for tomorrow” and made exercise part of my life – without the reluctance.

Still I am not there yet. I may reached my target weight loss goal and have become a Weight Watchers Lifetime member, maintenance is still a challenge. I am bad about keeping track of what I eat. So with doing strength and stretching. This fitness log might just be the tool to make me better at it.
